New Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe 2020 pricing and spec detailed: Plug-in power for new BMW X6 fighter

Porsche Australia has bolstered its Cayenne Coupe large SUV line-up with the introduction of the E-Hybrid variant priced at $151,600 before on-road costs, with first delivers expected in October this year.

Slotting in between the base $128,000 Cayenne Coupe and the $166,200 Cayenne S Coupe, the E-Hybrid Coupe is also $14,900 more expensive than its five-door wagon counterpart.

Boasting a 340kW/700Nm output thanks to the combination of a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine and electric motor – the same as the Cayenne E-Hybrid SUV – the latest Cayenne Coupe can accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 5.1 seconds.

The nippy acceleration is thanks to all-wheel-drive, the standard inclusion of the Sport Chrono package and eight-speed automatic transmission, but a further 0.1s can be shaved off the sprint time with the inclusion of optional lightweight sports packages.

Though Porsche has not confirmed details, the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe is expected to mirror its wagon equivalent and serve up a 44km all-electric driving range thanks to a 14.1kWh lithium-ion battery.

Fuel consumption should also hover around 3.3 litres per 100km for the circa-2.3-tonne sloped-roof SUV.

Porsche Australia has confirmed an adaptive rear spoiler, fixed-glass roof, surround-view monitor, privacy glass, rear side airbags, digital radio, keyless entry, head-up display, digital radio and lane change assist as standard, but also expect the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe to also come with adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking and multi-zone climate control at no extra cost.
