New Nissan Navara 2020 pricing and specs detailed: Ford Ranger-rivalling dual-cab ute gets an update – at a cost

Nissan Australia has released a MY20 update for the Navara ute, which ushers in minor changes alongside price rises for the second time in four months.

Specifically, all dual-cab pick-ups now have improved Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) levels thanks to a new engine cover and acoustic windscreen as well as more soundproofing materials for the firewall, centre console and transmission tunnel.

Meanwhile, the ST grade now comes standard with a black styling package, which darkens the grille, front foglight surrounds and side-mirror caps while adding black-on-silver 18-inch alloy wheels and a black sports bar.

No other changes have been made to standard specification, with Nissan Australia still offering the Navara in single- and space-cab configurations as well as a cab chassis.

As mentioned, these upgrades have come at a cost, with the entry-level 4×2 RX manual up $700, to $34,550 plus on-road costs, while its 4×4 and automatic counterparts are up $350 alongside the ST-X, SL and N-Trek grades.

Black-on-silver 18-inch alloy wheels and a black sports bar are now standard on the ST grade. Black-on-silver 18-inch alloy wheels and a black sports bar are now standard on the ST grade.

The biggest price rise is reserved for ST variants, which are up $850. The flagship N-Trek Warrior grade is up $500, to $63,490 (manual) and $65,990 (automatic). The full pricing table can be found below.

For reference, all versions of the Ford Ranger rival are motivated by a 140kW/450Nm 2.3-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder diesel engine.

This unit is mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.

Note: An earlier version of this story stated that autonomous emergency braking (AEB) had been added to all Navara dual-cab pick-ups, as per the relevant press release. Nissan Australia has since contacted CarsGuide to clarify that is not actually the case.
