New Lotus Evora 410 2020 on the table for Australia: Porsche 911 rival gains softer variant

Lotus has revealed its new Evora GT410 overseas, a softer version of the GT410 Sport, with the brand’s local division studying its potential for an Australian introduction.

CarsGuide understands that the local Evora GT410 Sport – the only variant available in Australia –differs from its international counterpart, and already offers a number of specification changes announced for the GT410.

According to Lotus, the new GT410 “is designed to be a more usable ‘everyday’ car” thanks to a reworked damper rate that “creates a more compliant ride for improve real-world comfort”, though the brand still promises “an outstanding performance-orientated experience”.

Other changes include integrated arm rests and storage bins for the door cards, more in-cabin sound insulation, a tailgate with a new glass insert for improved visibility, reversing camera, and air-conditioning – the latter is already standard on Aussie-spec Evoras.

All season Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres are also wrapped around the staggered 19- and 20-inch wheels front and rear.

Across both GT410 and GT410 Sport grades however, Lotus has added Sparco sport seats and a fully featured multimedia system with satellite navigation, digital radio and Apple CarPlay.

Both Evoras are powered by a supercharged 3.5-litre petrol V6, which punches out 305kW of power and 410Nm of torque.

In the UK, the GT410 is priced £3000 ($A5795) below the £85,900 ($A165,921) GT410 Sport, but in Australia, the latter kicks off at $179,990 in manual form and $181,990 with an automatic transmission.
