New Kia Seltos 2020 pricing and specs detailed: Mazda CX-30 rival gets more expensive – again
Kia Australia has increased the pricing of its hot-selling Seltos small SUV for the second time in just five weeks.
That said, the price rise this time around is less severe, with all Seltos variants up $200. For reference, last month’s adjustment saw them jump $500.
As such, the SUV line-up now kicks off from $25,690 plus on-road costs for the S FWD and tops out at $41,100 for the GT-Line AWD (see full pricing table below).
No changes have been made to the Mazda CX-30 rival’s standard specification, with a Kia Australia spokesperson telling CarsGuide the latest price adjustment came about “due to the usual business/exchange-rate pressures”.
As such, the Seltos is still offered in four grades: entry-level S, mid-range Sport and Sport+, and flagship GT-Line.
The S and Sport are powered by a 110kW/180Nm 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that’s paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) sending drive to the front wheels.
This set-up is also used in the Sport+, although it can be instead had with a 130kW/265Nm 1.6-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine that’s mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sending drive to all four wheels.
The GT-Line, meanwhile, is exclusively available with the punchier powertrain and sure-footed drivetrain.
