New Hyundai Santa Fe Active X 2020 pricing and specs detailed: Mazda CX-9 rival adds value-packed grade
Hyundai Australia has added a fourth grade to the current Santa Fe range, with the Active X sliding in between the entry-level Active and mid-range Elite.
Like the wider Santa Fe range, the Active X comes with two engine options: a 206kW/336Nm 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6 petrol or a 147kW/440Nm 2.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel.
The former is front-wheel drive, while the latter is all-wheel drive, but both are mated to an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.
The petrol and diesel variants are priced from $47,020 and $50,050 plus on-road costs respectively, positioning the Active X $3030 higher than the Active but $5050 lower than the Elite.
Standard equipment in the Active X includes dusk-sensing lights, LED daytime running lights, rain-sensing wipers, 18-inch alloy wheels, power-folding side mirrors with heating and puddle lights, roof rails, satin chrome exterior doorhandles and rear privacy glass.
Inside, a 7.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, keyless entry and start, dual-zone climate control, a cooled glovebox and leather-appointed upholstery feature.
Advanced driver-assist systems extend to autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality, driver attention alert, high-beam assist, a reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, tyre pressure monitoring and rear occupant alert.
As reported, a significantly facelifted version of the Mazda CX-9 rival is due in Hyundai Australia showrooms in the second half of this year.
