New Hyundai i30 N-Line sedan 2021 detailed: Elantra successor dials up the aggression
Hyundai has released renderings of the new i30 N-Line sedan, giving us our best look yet at the Elantra successor’s flagship.
The N-Line separates itself from the ‘regular’ i30 sedan with its mesh grille insert, sporty front bumper, unique 18-inch alloy wheels, side skirts, rear lip spoiler, diffuser insert, dual exhaust tailpipes and gloss-black trim.
We’re still yet to get a look at the i30 N-Line sedan’s interior, but it’s safe to say it won’t look too unfamiliar. Expect sports version of the steering wheel and front seats at minimum.
As reported, the real i30 N-Line sedan story will be told under the bonnet, where Hyundai previously confirmed a turbocharged engine will be found.
The unit in question is likely to be the i30 N-Line hatch and preceding Elantra Sport’s 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol, which should produce the same 150kW/265Nm as before.
A dual-clutch automatic transmission is also expected, likely a carryover seven-speed unit, while Hyundai has promised chassis upgrades, which should include steering and suspension tweaks.
The i30 N-Line sedan is due in Australian showrooms in the fourth quarter of this year. Stay tuned for more details as they come to hand.
