New Ford Everest 2020 pricing and specs detailed: Toyota Fortuner rival gets more expensive – again

Ford Australia has given the Everest large SUV a price rise for the second time in three months.

All Everest variants carry over and are now $400 dearer, following their $200 jump in February.

As such, the SUV range now kicks off at $50,090 plus on-road costs for the Ambiente RWD and reaches $73,190 for the Titanium AWD (see full pricing table below).

Speaking to CarsGuide, a Ford Australia spokesperson said there are no corresponding changes to the Toyota Fortuner rival’s standard specification, as the pricing adjustment is “effectively seasonal, … influenced by factors including exchange rates and so on”.

As before, two diesel engines are on offer, including a 147kW/470Nm 3.2-litre single-turbo five-cylinder and a 157kW/500Nm 2.0-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder.

Both are exclusively matched to torque-converter automatic transmissions, with the former using a six-speed unit, while the latter has four more gears to play with.

Rear- and four-wheel drive are available alongside four grades: entry-level Ambiente, mid-range Trend and Sport, and flagship Titanium. And despite ebing based on the five-seat Ranger ute, the Everest comes with seven seats as standard.
