New Audi Q2 2020 pricing and specs detailed: Sportier edition joins small SUV line-up

Audi Australia has revealed pricing and specs for its Q2 small SUV range for 2020. The core two-variant range remains unchanged, with the introduction of a new Edition #2 trim adding a sportier flair to either one.

The Q2’s range is still split into variants defined by their drivetrains. The entry level 35 TFSI starts from $41,950 before on-road costs. The 35 TFSI is front-wheel drive only and is powered by a 110kW/250Nm 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and is claimed to consume 5.3 litres per 100 kilometres (premium unleaded fuel).

Standard equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7.0-inch multimedia display with built-in sat nav as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, digital radio, LED headlights, leather seats, wireless phone charging, an auto-dimming rear vision mirror, and auto emergency braking (AEB).

Next up in the range is the 40 TFSI quattro which is all-wheel drive and powered by a 140kW/320Nm 2.0-litre turbo petrol four-cylinder. It has a claimed fuel consumption of 6.5L/100km.

The 40 TFSI grade ups the spec to include 18-inch alloy wheels, blind-spot monitoring, an electric tailgate, sports seats, and a body-matching exterior colour scheme.

There is an extensive list of optional extras including the Assistance package, Comfort package and Technik package which can overhaul the features of each car.

Either spec level can be chosen as an Edition #2 which starts from $44,550 for the 35 TFSI or $52,400 for the 40 TFSI.

The Edition #2 overhauls the exterior of the Q2 to include a new 19-inch alloy wheel design, exterior design touches like the black grille, and keyless entry with push-start. The Edition #2 also adds blind spot monitoring to the 35 TFSI.

All Audis remain covered by a three-year unlimited kilometre warranty and can also be covered by a capped price service plan package which can be added at the time of purchase. The plan costs $1580 for three years or $2140 for five years.
